“QB-LA” versus “LosAngelesQuickbooksHelp” – so what is the difference?
LAQBH was founded in 1997, offering on-site bookkeeping, data-entry, accounting, CFO, e-commerce and programming services primarily to southern Cal area businesses. In 2015 we decided to act on two realizations.
First, we have seen that remote data-entry (aka cloud-based accounting) has fully come of age-. It’s now much easier – and cost effective – to perform accounting work from our locations, and enter to client accounting systems via VPN’s, Internet providers such as LogMeIn, and increasingly ubiquitous QuickBooks Online (“QBO”). This is also more secure and less-disruptive to clients. We sometimes say that our remote accounting services require little extra time, expense or bother from our clients, including “no desk, no parking space, no coffee machine instructions, and no PC logins.” Remote accounting services are better than on-site these days, and benefit all involved. We specialize in “remote” now instead of “on-site” and offer especially competitive rates for this.
The second realization of sorts is that the name “LosAngelesQuickbooksHelp” is a bit long. So we shortened this to simply “QB-LA.” The web site was relaunched too (www.QB-LA.com of course) under ultra-modern WordPress, which allows lots of powerful features and easy add-ons – like this blog.
Note that www.QB-LA.com redirects to www.LosAngelesQuickbooksHelp.com. We still use the old domain name since Google, Yahoo, Bing et al have a special reverence for names like ours, registered way back in 2004.
