A Practical Guide for QB-LA Clients and Partners
At QB-LA, we keep a close eye on changes that affect our clients. Intuit has announced new pricing for QuickBooks Desktop products and services that will take effect for renewals starting February 1, 2026. As many of our clients still rely on Desktop, our goal is to help you understand what is changing, what the new costs look like, and what options make the most sense for the road ahead.
Why this change is happening
Intuit has continued its shift away from selling new Desktop Plus subscriptions, while still supporting renewals for existing users. This applies to Desktop Pro Plus, Premier Plus, Mac Plus, and Enhanced Payroll. The renewed focus is on more modern, connected platforms that reduce manual work and improve automation.
In that process, Intuit is also promoting two solutions that fit different types of clients:
Intuit Enterprise Suite
A new AI-native ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) platform designed for companies with growing complexity. It brings entity consolidation, workflow automation, and real-time reporting into one system. It is intended to sit above traditional Desktop software without the high cost of legacy ERP products.
QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise
A stronger option for long-time Desktop users who need more advanced features, built-in payroll, and customizable workflows while staying in the familiar Desktop environment.

QB Desktop Pricing updates effective February 1, 2026
Below is a condensed version of Intuit’s revised pricing. These figures apply to renewals starting February 2026.
QuickBooks Desktop Pro Plus, Premier Plus, and Mac Plus
Pro Plus / Mac Plus
• Current price: $999 per year for one user;
$200 per additional user
• New price: $1,149 per year for one user;
$230 per additional user
Premier Plus
• Current price: $1,399 per year for one user;
$300 per additional user
• New price: $1,609 per year for one user;
$345 per additional user
Effective February 1, 2026.
QuickBooks Desktop Accountant and ProAdvisor Bundles
Desktop Accountant
• Current: $1,199
• New: $1,799
ProAdvisor Premier Bundle
• Current: $999
• New: $1,499
ProAdvisor Enterprise Bundle
• Current: $1,599
• New: $2,399
Effective February 1, 2026.
QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise
Enterprise White Gold
• One user: $2,243 to $2,467
• Six users: $5,737 to $6,598
Enterprise Silver
• One user: $1,703 to $1,873
• Six users: $5,746 to $6,608
Effective February 1, 2026.
All user tiers will follow the same increase.
Gold and Platinum plans will also see the per-employee fee applied to all customers by February 2026.
QuickBooks Desktop Payroll
Basic Payroll
• Current: $550 per year plus $7 per employee per month
• New: $640 per year plus $7 per employee per month
Enhanced Payroll
• Current: $700 per year plus $7 per employee per month
• New: $805 per year plus $7 per employee per month
Effective February 1, 2026.
Legacy Desktop Payroll
Enhanced Payroll Unlimited (4+ employees)
• Current: $1,100 plus $5 direct deposit fee
• New: $1,270 plus $5 direct deposit fee
Enhanced Payroll Limited (1 to 3 employees)
• Current: $850 plus $5 deposit fee
• New: $980 plus $5 deposit fee
Effective February 1, 2026.
QuickBooks Desktop Payments (ACH fee changes)
• 1 percent with a $3 cap increases to 1 percent with a $5 cap
• 1 percent with a $5 cap increases to 1 percent with a $10 cap
• 1 percent with a $7 cap increases to 1 percent with a $15 cap
